Dr Kate Baddock (Chair)

After returning to New Zealand in 1988 following four years in the United Kingdom in rural General Practice and participating in their postgraduate training programme, Kate and her husband settled in Warkworth. She has spent the past 20 years in New Zealand in rural General Practice.
Kate is currently a partner with seven other General Practitioners at a Warkworth Practice. Her enthusiasm is for sports medicine and the management of chronic diseases. Kate is also involved in teaching undergraduate medical students, postgraduate doctors and registrars in General Practice training programmes.

Dr John Arcus

A North Shore General Practitioner for over 20 years, John has a strong passion for general practice and all facets of quality health care – clinical, managerial, cultural and governance.
John supports the Primary Health Care Strategy which places the patient together with their closest health adviser (organised General Practice) at the centre of the health care spectrum.

Dr Warren Groarke
|
English born, Warren is a partner at Silverdale Medical and part owner of a Mt Eden corporate health clinic, Well for Life.
During his 10 years as a General Practitioner in the United Kingdon, Warren developed a strong interest in Sports Medicine which led to positions as team doctor for Manchester City Football Club, England Under 18 Rugby team and lead Primary Care Physician at the Commonwealth Games in Manchester 2002.
Since migrating to New Z ealand with his wife and two boys, Warren has gained a Diploma in Sports Medicine. He has been appointed as the Tall Blacks doctor, Medical Director for Basketball New Zealand men and is currently the Auckland Rugby Football Union development team doctor.
Besides sports medicine, Warren’s medical interests extend to paediatrics and cardiovascular risk, particularly the role exercise has in controlling these issues.
Warren was also involved in general practice politics and service development in the United Kingom, sitting on and chairing many committees. He is currently on the Junior Advisory Board at North Harbour Rugby representing East Coast Bays Rugby Football Union where he continues to play an active part behind the scenes. He is a fellow of the Royal New Zealand College of General Pracitioners (RNZCGP) and is a general practitioner trainer.

Dr Helen MacDonald

Helen graduated in medicine from Aberdeen University in Scotland and did her General Practice training in the north east of England. Having met her future Kiwi husband, David, while working in Australia they decided to settle in Auckland.
A North Shore general practitioner for 16 years, initially in a small suburban practice and currently as a founding partner in the MedicalCentre @ Apollo. Helen is passionate about providing quality, sustainable primary care. She feels privileged to have been elected onto the Harbour Health board as she is enjoying working with an innovative and dedicated team.
Helen and David have two children, both attending local schools. In her free time Helen enjoys walking, reading and spending time with family and friends.

Carol Ryan

Currently Manager of Raeburn House, a community based mental health promotion organisation which interfaces collaboratively with communites and agencies across the Waitemata region.
Carol has a Certificate in Health Promotion and is currently working toward a Graduate Diplomas in Not for Profit Management.

Paddy Sullivan

Paddy is a New Zealand Registered Nurse with over 30 years experience in primary health care in the Rodney District. She has worked as a Practice Nurse, Postnatal Care Nurse, in community eldercare and is currently employed as the Rodney Alzheimer’s Advisor as well as the Qualcare Day Stay Team Leader.
Paddy has a strong community focus and believes that policies and processes should support providers to deliver affordable, accessible accountable healthcare to meet the needs of the communities they serve. She is an executive member of Rodney HealthLink and has served on school and church committees.
Paddy is married with three children and enjoys her three grandchildren

John Retimana

John is the Ngati Whatua (Tihi Ora) board director on the Harbour Health board and represents the interests of Maori within the PHO. John is of Ngati Whatua, Tainui and Nga Puhi descent and was born and raised in the town of Naumai on the Kaipara Harbour. John has been self employed for many years and has run many successful small businesses. He is the Iwi consultant for Ngati Whatua and held appointments in Health and Forestry from the last Labour Government.
