What is ASC? An Asian specific approach to smokefree promotion and smoking cessation in a family-orientated setting.
Service goals
To reduce the exposure to secondhand smoke and increase the effectiveness of smoking cessation services for the Asian population of the Waitemata District.

How the service can help you?
Specially trained ASC Co-ordinators who can speak English and Mandarin/Cantonese/Korean/Hindi/Fijian Hindi/Burmese offer:
- Help to you and your family to create a smokefree environment at work, home and in the car
- Support to be smokefree with advice on smoking cessation, nicotine patch and/or gum, counselling, phone support, home visits and information.
Referral criteria
This is s free service for Asian people who:
- Smoke
- Wish to live smokefree at work, home and in the car
- Have a smoker in the family
- Live in the Waitemata District (North Shore/Rodney/Waitakere)
