After Hours Medical Services
If you become unwell and you are unable to see the doctor you usually see, (because they are already fully booked or because your doctor has closed for the day) there are a number of alternative options available to you:
If it is an emergency – you should dial 111 to call an ambulance.
A number of medical centres affiliated to Harbour Health are open for extended hours and weekends and will see patients on a casual basis. Please contact them via telephone before presenting at the medical centre. Please refer to Affiliated Medical Centres for further information about practices and the hours they open.
There are a number of facilities located on the North Shore and Rodney that provide accident and medical services including Shorecare in Takapuna which is open 24 hours a day:
